SWS Grand Finale captured the 3-Year Old World Championship

SWS Grand Finale captured the 3-Year Old World Championship with her phenomenal win in Fresno, CA on October 12, 2018. In her 350-yard sprint, with jockey Jesus Arriaga, she finished in 20.74 seconds, beating fellow competitors and seasoned race mules, Lil Sarah and Price Check. In her first season on the race track, she accumulated points with her winning season, to capture this title.
SWS Grand Finale is owned by Don Jacklin and Gayle Stegmann. She was bred by Pauline Ferguson, who’s jack sire, Sweetwater Sterling has produced the most winningest mules on the race track, including Hot Ticket, Red Ticket and Lucky Ticket and is currently in the AMRA Hall of Fame. Trainers Ruby Thomas and Peggie Hanford lead her into this winning season and are excited about the prospect of competing in the Open Racing Circuit next year.
Ruby Thomas, trainer said “as a three-year-old, she has a very bright future on the race track. She is as fast as any 3-year-old I have ever trained, and I am thrilled she is under my guidance”.
